What's up with the name PirateDog.CA?
Well for a long time I've been thinking about a website to display my hobby. I was struggling with a good name for it. My bichon frise Finnigan was diagnosed with diabetes and other complications and long story - short, he had to have an eye surgically removed. I felt sorry for my little dog but the vet tried to make me feel better by saying he was going to make him into a pirate. And that brief moment gave me the name. It's been 4 years since he was diagnosed as diabetic. He gets a shot of insulin twice a day, is on a special diet and seems happy and healthy. He's 13 years old now and what ever time we have left, we are going to enjoy it to the max. He's been a very brave little boy through all of it. Cheers!
